Disruptive Women in Health Care Blog Announces Addition of Global Urban Women’s Health Fellows to Blogger Corps

The Disruptive Women in Health Care Blog is thrilled to announce the addition of five new bloggers, all of whom are Global Urban Women’s Health Fellows.
These extraordinary women come to us through the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, where they began their collaboration on the social network site, the Urban Women’s Health Collaborative, that they have populated since April 2010, and will continue doing so.
“All of us here at the Disruptive Women in Health Care Blog are delighted to be collaborating with the prestigious and internationally acclaimed University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing,” said Disruptive Women Blog founder Robin Strongin.
Though all five Global Urban Women’s Health Fellows come to the Disruptive Women blog from UPenn’s Urban Women’s Health Collaborative, that is about where their similarities end. Not only are the five women from all different corners of the globe, they also have all different areas of expertise within the global health and gender space.
“We feel honored by this unique opportunity to expand the global reach of our blog,” commented Strongin. “These Global Urban Women’s Health Fellows will not only allow all of us further our understanding of women’s lives, circumstances and societal roles globally, it will also provide us with a vehicle through with to share ideas about policy solutions and break down barriers internationally.”
Disruptive Women in Health Care is pleased to announce the addition of the following five Global Urban Women’s Health Fellows: Magaly Blas, MD,MPH,PhD, Peru; Paulina Bravo, RN, PhC medicine, Chile; Salima Farooq,BScN, Pakistan; Ufuoma Lamikanra, LLM, Nigeria; and Diana Petrosyan, MD,MPH, Armenia.
